    Daylight Strategy New Year Update

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a pleasant and God-honoring Christmas. I know I really enjoyed seeing family. Okay, now to business...

Daylight Strategy has an exciting year planned for 2008. For those of you that are close to us, you already know we had a great week last summer in Estes Park with the Gospel Music Association. We learned a lot and have had a truly inspired shift in focus. It used to be that Daylight Strategy was primarily about music. No mas. Daylight Strategy is now primarily about people, about the audience and those who need to hear our message. Don't get me wrong, we still love music and hold only the highest standards for our art.

With this in mind we spent most of the fall of 07 writing a mission statement and planning our attack on 2008. We made goals. We made steps to achieve those goals. We made timelines to complete those steps. Here are some of the desired results. You can call them resolutions if you want, but they are more like goals. Goals are easier to achieve than resolutions are to keep.

We intend to play more than 30 shows in 2008. Yeah with full-time jobs and everything.

We intend to raise enough money to record our first full-length album by 2010. The amount is LARGE (over $20K) so if you feel called to donate to our ministry, please message us or email me @ dwhurt@stgregorys.edu and we can help you do so.

We intend to release new web content every two weeks, either a blog or a video. Awesome.

We intend to make lots of friends. We really need fans. A band cannot survive without people willing to support its art (and in our case ministry). So please...tell everyone you know. Come to shows; buy an E.P., sticker, button or t-shirt. We love you and we need you.

Do you want to help us out, but live out of state and/or are broke? You can help us out by praying for us.

Pray for us: To keep our focus on the people God has called us to serve, to increase our number of shows and pay earned for our services, to keep the Lord number 1 in our personal lives, and to receive opportunities to express to people God's love for them.

Well that's about all for now Daylight Strategists. Thanks for listening. Thanks for reading. There is much more to come. Come see us live. There really is nothing like live music. It's good for you.

    In Christ,
    Doug Hurt
